Undergrounding

The imminent disappearance of these power lines and their poles really took me by surprise. Click on the notice to read what’s planned.

The delights of baby rabbits, lambs and spring flowers, however, were to be expected along the old meltwater channel between Pwllgwaelod and Cwm-yr-Eglwys. And they didn’t disappoint.

About bookvolunteer

I'm passionate about books, about Oxfam and about making the world a better place. When I'm not filling the shelves in Oxfam Wilmslow, I might be found reading the books I've bought in the beautiful surroundings of North Pembrokeshire.

    Where exactly is this happening?

    • I think the notice refers to the power lines that go from Pwllgwaelod to Cwm-yr-Eglwys in the valley that forms the ‘land boundary’ of Island farm. There are other power lines that go into the Island Farm from Bryn Henllan direction but I don’t think they’ll be buried. Such a lovely project, don’t you think?

Well, well, I had no idea that our local ascetics (that would be the hermits and anchorites up on Carningli I take it?) had so much influence with the powers-that-be.
Perhaps they threatened bad karma for the PCNP if the view was not improved.
